Pennsylvania and New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Defense
Employment Law

Harsinie concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  Harsinie
focuses her practice on the representation of self-insured’s and captive groups.  She has successfully litigated
Claim, Review, Modification, Suspension and Termination Petitions before Workers’ Compensation Judges, the
Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and the Commonwealth Court.  Prior to joining Wynn McGarry in 2007, she
interned at Guard Insurance and worked for a large national firm.  She has conducted several training initiatives
including a seminar on Modification/Suspension Petitions and labor market surveys and has authored a pamphlet
on forms practice.  Harsinie has presented several educational and interactive seminars for adjusters, employers
and captive groups on the Pennsylvania workers’ compensation process.  Harsinie most recently presented a
comprehensive seminar on pro-active practices for Pennsylvania Employers.  

Professional Activities

Harsinie is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern
District of Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations and has
dedicated time to several pro bono projects ranging from tax clinics for migrant farm workers to mortgage
foreclosure mediations and conferences with the Philadelphia VIP.  She is a panel attorney for the Volunteer
Lawyers for the Arts.  She is additionally active in emergency disaster relief with the American Red Cross.  Harsinie
was chosen as a 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Pennsylvania Rising Star by SuperLawyers, a distinction held by less
than 5% of practicing attorneys.  


Harsinie received her Juris Doctor from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2004.  While at Temple,
Harsinie was the Managing Editor of the Temple University Environmental Law and Technology Journal, the Vice-
President of the International Law Society, Secretary of the Business Law Society and was a scholarship recipient.  
Harsinie studied international law and policy in Rome, Italy.  She double-majored in Political Science and English
and minored in Philosophy at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia where she graduated in 2001 and was a
National Merit James E. Casey Scholarship Recipient and an Oxford Scholar.  While at Oglethorpe, Harsinie was the
Presiding Officer of the University’s Academic Honor Counsel, a member of the Senate and Programming Boards
and team taught Freshman Orientation classes in political theory and policy.
